![]() Donald M. Tegeler Jr. Phone: Fax: E-mail: Web site: Donald "D.J." Tegeler, Jr. is the managing partner of the law firm. His primary concentration is criminal defense litigation, which includes felony trials, criminal appeals, DUI, misdemeanor, traffic, juvenile, and driver's license reinstatement hearings. Prior to founding the firm Ten years ago, Mr. Tegeler worked as senior associate at a well-known high-volume law firm in Kane County. His 18 years of previous experience serve as the crucial training ground that has allowed Mr. Tegeler to be extremely well versed in many aspects of the law comprising criminal, civil and family proceedings. During his years in practice, Mr. Tegeler has tried a large number of felony jury and bench trials before the Kane County Judiciary. He has also been appointed by the Judiciary as a conflict counselor to represent clients in several felony, juvenile and appellate matters. His trial acumen involves a multitude of murder, sex, narcotics, and lesser class criminal cases. He received his bachelor's degree in 1986 from Lake Forest College with majors in history and politics and a secondary focus in economics. Mr. Tegeler received his law degree in 1989 from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law where he earned the distinguished Chicago-Kent Trial Advocacy Award and held an internship at the prestigious Chicago-Kent Legal Clinic, Criminal Division. Mr. Tegeler is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Kane County Bar Association, and previously served as Kane County Bar Association's Criminal Law Committee Chairman (2000-2002). Additionally, he was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 1990, and thereafter, admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and upon motion, has been permitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
